As a creative partner and design strategist, I led a comprehensive rebrand for the African Library Project, transforming an outdated visual identity into one that feels modern, vibrant, and true to the organization’s mission. From logo to website, the goal was to create a cohesive brand that would inspire trust and reflect the real-world impact ALP has on communities across Africa.

The new logo features a bookmark motif—representing progress, learning, and the journey of young readers. For typography, I selected Pintanina, a playful yet highly legible typeface that evokes a sense of youthfulness while maintaining clarity.

The color palette was inspired by my firsthand visits to schools across Africa. Yellows, oranges, and blues were recurring tones in every environment I visited. Grounded by a bold black for contrast, the palette centers around warm, optimistic hues that echo the spirit of the communities ALP serves.

To complement the visual identity, I also co-led the production of a documentary-style video. We captured on-the-ground footage from library build sites and book drives, conducting interviews with local leaders to craft a compelling narrative that showcases the organization’s impact. The result was a heartfelt brand story that resonated deeply with both donors and partners.
